Adele Alsop

“Part of the fun of art fashion is the rich and long history artists are part of. And history’s fascination is to be a vehicle for our own time, even though when you are making art, if you are lucky you find yourself outside of time. Upon entering the [landscape’s] revelation process; one becomes intimate with plants, or the wind, or the cracks in the concrete. I am often, not always, a landscape painter; Landscape painting has a humble reputation, but the land is grand and symphonic.”

Adele Alsop is known for plein-air modernist-leaning landscape paintings. She currently resides in Utah and primarily painting the vast landscape of the west.
