Carrie Curran

As an Arizona artist Carrie Curran is noted for her extraordinary talent in Plein Air painting and floral still lifes. Ms. Curran’s training and insight into the complex relationships between color, light, and composition gives energy to her floral and landscape paintings and unusual intimacy to her portraits. She incorporates wonderful textural elements created with paint and brushstrokes, adding an extra sense of depth to her paintings.

Influenced by her mother’s studio oil painting classes in their home, Carrie Curran began sketching and painting at an early age. Her formal art training began at Indiana University and Cambridge University, England and continues today with annual workshops at the Scottsdale Artists’ School.

Carrie is in the Art in Embassies Program. Her work is at the residence of the United States Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Her is work owned by many private and corporate collections nationally.
