Joe Nicoletti

Joseph Nicoletti is primarily responsible for teaching basic courses in drawing and painting as well as figure drawing. He received a B.A. from Queens College, C.U.N.Y. and an M.F.A. from Yale University. Besides holding the position of Lecturer in Art at Bates College he is Acting Director of the summer program at the International School of Art in Umbria, Italy. He has exhibited nationally and internationally, and in the state of Maine his work is in major collections including the Portland Museum of Art. He has received numerous grants, residencies, commissions, and awards; including the Hassam and Speicher Purchase Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters in N.Y.C.
