Maryanne Pollock

Maryanne Pollock received her BFA from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and Rome, Italy. She continued her studies in printmaking and painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Corcoran College of Art and Design, and the American University (graduate painting).

During her six year residency in Cairo, she exhibited at Sheba Gallery, Gezira Art Center, and Townhouse Gallery, with work featured in Egypt Today magazine, Egypt Insights, el Ahram el Arabi, and el Sharkiat. Living, working and exhibiting extensively in Egypt for six years profoundly changed her work. Pollock is committed to creating innovative art projects among underserved communities worldwide.

Pollock will represent the US at Genoma Contemporary contextual to the 2015 Venice Biennale. She is represented by the Ralls Collection, WDC, Galerie Mourlot, NYC and Skoto Gallery, NYC and Genoma Contemporary, Venice Italy. Her paintings are widely shown and collected. Most recently the Marriot Marquis DC has purchased a sizeable collection of paintings for their beautiful new hotel in downtown DC.
