Phillip B. Leavitt

Born January 28, 1898 into an affluent family, Phillip B. Leavitt had a successful career as a stock broker in New York City (where he introduced his composer friend Richard Rogers to lyricist acquaintance Lorenz Hart), before retiring and becoming a painter. Leavitt died in Scottsdale Arizona December 20, 1987 at the age of 89.
