Artist Susan Jarmain is inspired by her intimate relationship with the natural world around her north shore Lake Erie home. She is fascinated by the obvious and the intuitive effects of the elements in this area of the southern Ontario landscape. Her hand woven silk artworks offer viewers an opportunity to share in her wonder of the repeating rhythms, richness of colours and patterns of the natural world around her. The works featured in this exhibit are mounted on custom armatures… each becoming a unique sculptural work enhancing the light, shadow and reflective qualities of the silk.
