Dr. Dean Eckert was a professor and chair of the Art Department at Lindenwood College. He received his BA, BFA and MA degrees from Ohio State University and a PhD in Art History from the University of Iowa. His works had been shown in juried shows throughout the Midwest region. In addition to private collections, his work can be found in the collections of the Butler Institute of American Art. the State Historical Society in Columbia and Bristol-Meyers Pharmaceutical, Inc.
Professor Eckert lectured on art, including presentations on Japanese gardens and festivals at the annual Japanese Garden Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
