William Walton

Journalist turned painter William Walton’s multifaceted career had many highlights—one of which being his time as a World War II correspondent for Time-Life magazine which involved parachuting into Normandy, France, with the 82nd Airborne Division to cover D-Day. A friend and neighbor of John F. Kennedy, Walton worked on the presidential campaign and was appointed chair of the Fine Arts Commission.
