Shahid Kabir’s tactile impasto paintings blend Bangladeshi heritage with global influences. He studied art at both Dhaka’s Government Art Institute and in Madrid, Spain. During his time in Spain, Kabir created drawings, paintings, etchings, and prints inspired by his friends and neighbors, as well as the living spaces and everyday objects around him. Since returning to Dhaka, his work has shifted to abstraction and surrealism, balancing bold texture with delicate vitality through expressive explorations of floral form.
