Lives & works in Karachi, Pakistan Traditional art itself is the most important subject of discussion in my work. I meticulously produced drawings & miniatures paintings, and the connection between the images are as a means to questions about the traditional art values & practices and its role in the contemporary art world today. In content of the work, transformation of traditional art imagery is an important part. I have borrowed traditional icons from historical traditional art and transforms these visuals by juxtaposed, overlapped & superimposing of different images from different times. It’s an effort and a questioning attitude about the exploitation of traditional art in modern world.
