Casey Curran

Primarily working in three-dimensional media, Casey Curran creates kinetic sculptures focused on humanity’s relationship with nature. His pieces range from simple hand cranks to immersive installations that allow the viewer to participate in each work: “I ask [viewers] to animate the worlds I make, causing flowers to bloom and bones to shudder. I find myself drawn to questions that explore humanity’s place in nature, chiefly among them, ‘are we still a part of it?’”
