Christopher Martin

Self-taught artist Christopher Martin dedicates his practice to reverse glass painting, a time-consuming technique in which pigment is applied in layers to the back of a transparent support. This method requires that the artist paint elements in the foreground first, finishing with the background, in reverse order of traditional canvas painting. Although this process dates back to the fourteenth century, Martin achieves a modern perspective through abstract motifs executed in vibrant colors.
