Henry Coe

Henry Coe is a landscape painter who works in oil on a large and small scale. He prefers to work outside on the site of his subject matter. He paints primarily in the Mid – Atlantic region, Maine, and France.

He received a B.A. from Roanoke College and an M.F.A. from the Maryland Institute College of Art. He has done an artist’s residency in China and three residencies in France. He received a Maryland State Arts Council Grant in 1992 and his work is in the Kanagawa Museum of Modern Art in Japan and the Maison d’Artiste de la Grande Vigne in Dinan, France, as well as in many private collections.

His work is represented by the C. Grimaldis Gallery in Baltimore, Gallery KH in Chicago, and Harris Gallery in Houston.
