Karen Kilimnik

For four decades, Karen Kilimnik has pursued a broad array of subject matter, finding inspiration in such diverse sources as fairy tales, Old Master paintings, literature, and window displays. Kilimnik first gained prominence in the late 1980s for her “scatter” pieces—installations of material debris assembled in a seemingly chaotic fashion.
