Kathleen Giddens holds a Master’s degree in Art Education and BFA from the University of Florida. She has been painting for over 30 years and has exhibited extensively, both nationally and in Florida. Her background includes teaching art history, art education, drawing, and painting at the community college level.
The recipient of the Florida Arts Recognition Award in 2004 and declared a Florida Ambassador of the Arts in 2005, Britto is an advocate for charitable organizations and art education worldwide and most of all, an artist who believes “art is too important not to share”.
Britto’s work includes acrylic on canvas paintings as well as monumental aluminum sculpture. Romero Britto’s prolific body of work can be seen in galleries and museums on five continents.
