Nancy Lindsay’s work draws inspiration from the landscapes of the American Midwest, particularly the river valleys, rolling hills, and woodlands of Iowa. Working across oil painting and printmaking, often en plein air, she explores the textures, forms, and shifting atmospheres of the natural world. She credits her father’s drawings and her grandfather’s woodcarvings as early influences. Lindsay studied art at Colorado State University in Fort Collins and the Art Students League of New York.
