Pauline Galiana

Pauline Galiana works in collages, paintings and drawings, ephemeral installations, and small-scale sculptures that often address deconstruction versus reconstruction and hybridization. To create her meticulously planned and patiently executed collages, Galiana selects, cuts, and individually loops the strips before redistributing them on a grid. She “makes use of the whole documents or drawings, not wasting any of the material” by restructuring them row by row “in the chronological order of their deconstruction.”
