Renate Aller

Born in Germany, Renate Aller lives and works in Long Island and New York. The long term project “oceanscapes – one view – ten years”, was a critic’s choice by Nord Wennerstrom for ArtForum, and was reviewed by Vince Aletti for The New Yorker. Pieces from that series and other site specific art works are in the collections of corporate institutions, the most recent being Moodys, UK and Tiffany& Co., private collectors and museums, including Chazen Museum of Art, The Yale University Art Gallery, the George Eastman House, Rochester, New York and Hamburger Kunsthalle, Hamburg, Germany. She is represented by Adamson Gallery, Washington DC, Chiaroscuro Contemporary Art, Santa Fe, and Robert Morat Galerie, Hamburg, Germany.

The book “oceanscapes – one view – ten years”, published in Fall 2010 by Radius Books of Santa Fe in collaboration with Kehrer Verlag, Heidelberg, has already received recognition by acclaimed critics.
