Stanley Thomas Clough is best known for works he created under the Works Progress Administration. A New Deal agency, the WPA encouraged Americans to get better, not only though contributing to infrastructure projects, but also through eating more vegetables, going to plays and zoos, and visiting national parks. The WPA mainly conveyed its message through posters, many of which were designed by Clough.
