Susan Feller

Self-taught artist, curator, and freelance writer Susan Feller specializes in rugmaking techniques, including hooked, punched, needle felted, and dimensional collage. Incorporating bright colors to depict America’s natural beauty, her textiles explore traditional crafts and ecological issues, specifically how humankind’s depletion of resources impact the landscape around them. “Working with fibers, connects me with generations of artisans’ spirits. Due to the slow, repetitive process, there is time to dwell on the natural subjects in my art and the materials selected,” she said.
