Ted Davis was born in Portland, Maine. He started drawing and painting at an early age and was encouraged by his parents. He majored in art at Portland High School where his art teacher had a profound influence upon his life. Graduating as a civil engineer and attending the Boston Architectural School, Ted made his living designing and constructing residential and commercial buildings and painted as a hobby. Ted’s paintings border on abstract expressionism with a protracted resonance of tranquil reflective space.
