Tim Ebner was born in 1953 in Ohio, and grew up in Southern California. He received his BFA in 1979 and MFA in 1982, both from Cal Arts. His work received immediate attention and was acquired by The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, The Broad Foundation, The Peter Norton Family Foundation and numerous private collectors. He was the recipient of LACMA’s Young Talent Award and has taught at Cal Arts, Otis, Occidental, Claremont, UCLA, Art Center, and is currently on the faculty of Cal State University, Los Angeles. He has been represented by the Rosamund Felsen Gallery since 1991.
