Yesiyu Zhao

Chinese born, Brooklyn based artist Yesiyu Zhao’s work explores topics of gender fluidity through the juxtaposition of gendered accessories, such as high heels and fishnet stockings, and building densely iconographical systems for each pictorial narrative. His practice investigates the idea of being “caught in between”—between masculinity and femininity, between the self and the other.
