Artist Statement: “My work involves the endless possibilities for exploration with the studio art quilt. I try to capture a mood or atmosphere with the use of space, light, color, and movement. It is with a conscious effort I hope to continue the clear relationship with the traditionally made folk art quilt. My aesthetic concerns are common to the visual arts – in particular, painting.”
