Lyn Horton

Born in Washington, DC, in 1950, Lyn Horton graduated from California Institute of the Arts, earning a BFA in 1971 and an MFA in 1974. She has studied with the late Douglas Huebler, the late Paul Brach, the late George Miller, the late Gerald Ferguson, and Stephan von Huene. After graduating from CalArts, she held the position of Executive Assistant to Edwin Schlossberg for ten years. She worked closely with Sol LeWitt installing his wall-drawings in a major exhibit in California in 1971 and at the Williams College Museum of Art in 1988. Since 1970, Horton’s art has been exhibited in the United States in California, New York, Massachusetts, Washington, DC, and internationally in Barcelona, Spain and Seoul, Korea. Her work resides in The Sol LeWitt Collection and other private collections throughout the United States. She is represented by Cross MacKenzie Gallery in Washington, DC. She lives in Massachusetts.
