Manju Sadarangani

Self-taught acrylic painter and Kintsugi ceramic artist Manju Sadarangani “brings the wonder, skepticism, and gratitude of an outsider immigrant to her work.” Kintsugi, or “golden joinery,” is the Japanese art of gluing broken pottery with powdered gold, silver, or platinum lacquer. Intersecting science and spirituality, her vibrant works feature bold, assertive color and approach “socio-economic experience and political experience with vulnerability and emotion.”
