Michael Robbins

In his art, Michael Robbins concentrates upon the elements of speed and motion and how they relate to atmosphere, light and colors. A contemporary New York painter and printmaker, Michael Robbins graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Cooper Union in 1970. He then taught art techniques for a period of one year at Syracuse University. Robbins began exhibiting his work around 1975. In 1985 the artist was a recipient of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
Today the art of Michael Jed Robbins will be found in many important collections, including The Sara Roby Foundation, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.
