Since 2002, Art in Embassies has sent artists from all across American as cultural envoys to local communities around the world. Their participation in lectures, workshops, collaborative art projects, public events, and media interviews have made it possible to establish person-to-person relationships and discover common interests and concerns, strengthening our ties with nations and peoples.
Art used as a form of cultural diplomacy is more important now that ever because art can transcend language and cultural barriers and helps us focus on positive and peaceful alliances.
